Home Care Aide / Caregiver (Non-Medical)

Job Summary

TrustedCompanion Home Services Inc. is seeking compassionate, reliable, and professional Home Care Aides to provide non-medical support to clients in their homes. Caregivers play a vital role in promoting safety, comfort, and independence while delivering high-quality, respectful care.

Responsibilities

The Caregiver is responsible for and not limited to:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Provide medication reminders (non-medical)
  • Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments
  • Monitor client safety and report any changes in condition
  • Follow individualized care plans and company policies
  • Maintain client confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Clean background check
  • Previous experience in home support or caregiving is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Reliable personal vehicle (must have a car)
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and compassionate
  • Food Handling Certificate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
  • Knowledge of safe transfer and mobility assistance
  • Food Handling Certificate
  • Flexible availability (evenings/nights/weekends a plus)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and assist up to 25–50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist clients throughout shifts
